Cold processing of aluminium sheet usually refers to
aluminum sheet metal cutting, cutting tools to remove redundant metal layers from metal materials (blanks) or workpieces, so that the workpiece can obtain a certain shape, size accuracy and surface roughness of the processing method. Such as turning, drilling, milling, planer, grinding, broaching and so on. In aluminum sheet metal technology, corresponding to hot working, cold working refers to the processing technology that causes plastic deformation of metal below the recrystallization temperature, such as cold rolling, cold drawing, cold forging, stamping, cold extrusion, etc. Cold working has great resistance to deformation. While forming metals, work hardening can be used to improve the hardness and strength of the workpiece. Cold working is suitable for processing metal parts with small cross-section size and high requirement of processing size and surface roughness.
The hot working of
aluminium sheet advantages is a processing method that simultaneously produces plastic deformation and recrystallization of metal materials under conditions higher than recrystallization temperature. Hot working usually includes casting, hot binding, forging and metal heat treatment, and sometimes welding, thermal cutting, thermal spraying and other processes. Hot working can improve the structure of metal parts while forming, or change the crystallization state of formed parts to improve the mechanical properties of parts. For metal materials with low melting point, such as lead, zinc and tin, the recrystallization temperature is low. Plastic processing of them at room temperature also belongs to hot processing.
Hot rolled aluminum presion plate has low hardness, easy processing, good ductility, relatively low strength, poor surface quality (oxidation low finish), but good plasticity, generally medium and heavy plate, hot rolled steel plate, mechanical properties are far inferior to cold processing, also inferior to forging processing, but has better toughness and ductility.
Cold rolled aluminum sheet plate: high strength and high hardness, relatively difficult to process, but not easy to deform, high surface finish, generally thin aluminum sheet can be used as stamping plate; due to a certain degree of work hardening, low toughness, but can achieve a better yield strength ratio, used for Cold-Formed spring and other parts, because the yield point is closer to tensile strength, so there is no predictability of danger in the use process. Accidents are prone to occur when the load exceeds the allowable load. The thickness of most cold rolled aluminum steel sheets is less than 4.5mm. Cold rolled aluminium sheet has high hardness and strength.
Medium and heavy aluminum plate refers to aluminum steel plate with thickness of 4.5-25.0 mm. Thickness of 25.0-100.0 mm is called thick aluminum plate, and thickness of over 100.0 mm is extra thick aluminum plate.
